The center is very beautiful. I got tickets for "Red". I brought my husband and my 90 year o;d mom. We were anticipating a great show. We love to visit the "Palms theater and show place in Mesa,AZ and the Pickleville Play House in Garden City, Utah. The show "Red" was absolutely the worst play we have ever gone too. After a half hour of the foul mouth main actor and the sick smell of his herbal cigarettes we got up and left the show. I like to go to shows to be entertained not insult my intelligence. Absolutely the worst play I have ever been too. Horrible!!!!!!!!

It's a great art space......great art displayed and performed. The restrooms are artistically decorated, great fun.
This Theater is now coming up on it's fifth successful season. In that time it has gone from strength to strength and now produces 9 productions per year. It's credibility is such that Colorado first run Tony awarding winning plays are now being offered to this Theater. Several plays/musicals that I had previously seen on Broadway or London's West End, were second best when compared to the quality and intimacy experienced in this Black Box stage. This Theater is not afraid to produce productions which may be cutting edge and controversial. It is not your cookie cutter community theater, so be sure to check the rating on each particular show if you are sensitive to that sort of thing. Trip Advisor now rates it as the top attraction when visiting Pagosa Springs, it is a must see.
