Someone who will never shop in your store again.
Save yourself alot of time and hassle and go to Durango (either Southwest Appliance or Home Depot) to shop for appliances. The owner and staff of this Sears store are extremely rude and unhelpful!! I've dealt with them several times and always have the same negative experience. I will never shop here again or recommend them to anyone.
This is by far the worst Sears I have ever shopped at, it's worth a 5 hour drive to Colorado Spring not to have to deal with them. Beside having little inventory, which you kinda expect being in a small town. They never, I mean never answer their phone, once when I called back twice in a row, they hung up on me. On 3 different occasions I drove all the way into town to shop there and they where closed despite the fact if was during their regular posted hours of operation. So to recap, you can't just drive in to shop with any certainty they will be open and you can't call ahead to ensure they will be there when you arrive. If I were Sears, I would revoke there authorization to do business as Sears!
To the owners/managers at Sears Pagosa Springs:
I dropped of a power washer for repair 6 weeks ago. To date, the unit is still not repaired. When queried about the reason for the delay, a store employee said the outside vendor they use for repairs is slow. Quite an understatement.
It is against the law to discriminate against a person with a disability. You cannot tell someone that you will not hire them because they are deaf and can’t communicate! First, deaf people can communicate, they can do anything a hearing person can do. Somethings, they can even do better. Second, it is unfair to make that judgement without giving the person a chance. Third, it is just hurtful to tell a deaf person that they aren’t good enough, just because they were born without hearing. It takes away their self worth. And last, it is your loss. The deaf person you discriminated against today is the hardest working, most reliable person you will find, with years of experience in warehouses. I will be sending a letter to Sears Headquarters so that they are aware of the kind of people they have operating under the Sears Brand. Don’t worry about denying what was said, it was said through a video phone system where the interpreter is a witness and the conversation is recorded. Please read the Americans with Disabilities Act, this shouldn’t happen to anyone else.
