I brought my Subaru in for a tune up and oil change. Nothing was wrong with it. They brought to our attention that my car burns oil (as do many older subarus). In their attempt to "fix it" they costed us over $1,600 and did NOTHING but make the problem worse. My car now burns 3x the amount it did before I took it in there. Not to mention them working on it made my engine light come on the next day after receiving my car back. Also, they would have my bring in my car at 8am only to have it sit there for a whole day until they were able to look at it! I will never go back here or recommend it to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Just as I pulled in to park, the "Check brake system" warning came on. I barely had enough braking power to stop in the parking spot. I got out and checked the brake fluid and it was low. I managed to obtain some from the outfitter, and - after our tour - started the 8mi drive back to town.

Be careful! if you dont know much about automotive they will try and charge you very very high pricing for minimal repair. They seem very nice there but will charge you an arm and a leg without blinking an eye. Dont do it.
We skied Sunday - Tuesday, and took Wednesday off for some in-town fun and snowmobiling. As we drove up to the departure location for snowmobiles, I noticed the brakes seemed a bit soft. I thought maybe it was the chains, or the slushy drive up CR400.
The next day, I got a message saying it had been repaired. It was a broken metal tubing brake line (which Chevrolet doesn't sell), so they ordered the tubing and bent it to match the original.
Before I went in, I popped the hood and checked the brake fluid level. It had gone from almost full to almost empty in a mere 10 miles.
Bill and Susan, as well as their techs, were truly a blessing to us! HIGHLY recommended!
I walked in and spoke to Susan - she was very kind and explained that they really didn't have an open slot that evening to look at it, and asked if I could come back at 8am. I explained my concern (no brakes!) and that I'd need to at least buy some fluid.
I would have given them 5 but when we had over $1300.00 of work done on our truck, which included front-end work and 2 new tires. We live in Oklahoma and we were there on vacation, anyway we were told we had a bent rim that would need to be taken care of when we got home. So as soon as we got home we got the new rim $403.00 when the people here were putting the new tire from "bent rim" to new rim. We were told the rim is not bent. You have a bad tire. So since then we have been trying to get tired replaced. But to no avail so out another $170.00 for bad tire. We just ordered a new tires from Cooper Tire. We had to make a choice of spending about $450.00 to drive back to Piedra Automotive or eat the $170.00 and spend another $170.00 for a new tire. All because it was not cost effective for Piedra Automotivr to work with us. So because they missed it on the bent rim and actually a bad tire they put on the rim we ended up being out an additional almost $600.00. All over a bad tire... not good business. What happened to taking care of the customer? You should no your products and the guarantees behind them and how to take care of problems.
In the meantime, Chuck - the service manager - went out and took a quick look at the issue. He came back in and said "They don't need to go anywhere - it's not safe!" He called the customer coming in that evening - a regular, I presume - and asked if they could come in the next morning - that they had an important issue (my Suburban) to look at.
We visited Pagosa Springs for some skiing at Wolf Creek, driving from Fort Worth. Prior to our departure, I had a good friend of mine - a mobile mechanic - check everything over on our 2009 Suburban.
Before we got into town, the warning came on again. I had my wife look up the nearest mechanic, and she found Piedra, which was only about 2.5mi away. I carefully made our way to the shop.
I have changed my review because Piedra Automotive realized and corrected the issue with our tire. We receive the new tire today. 10-13-16 Thank you for stepping up.
Had a minor accident in P S & had to be towed 3 miles to their location . Retrieved auto within 2 hours from their lot. Bill was $300.00
I was VERY impressed with their level of service and rates. I called my mechanic friend after leaving the shop to tell him what all had transpired, and he confirmed that they did an excellent job at a very fair rate.
We stopped by on the way back from Wolf Creek. Susan showed me where the brake line had failed.
The owner, Bill (Susan is his wife), personally drove us to our townhome across town, and suggested a company that could transport us to the ski area so we wouldn't miss any time on the slopes.
