We had a great experience with Holy Smokes! They have both repaired old and installed new gas fireplaces in our home and both experiences were fantastic. Darwin & Jeremiah were courteous, professional and did the job with a smile. Lisa answered our questions and fielded our inquiry calls with patience and guidance - we can't thank them enough!
Horrible customer service!!! We scheduled a chimney cleaning and waited several weeks for the appointment. Day of the scheduled appointment they were 20 minutes late. We called and were told that they went to the wrong house and wouldn't be there after all. We asked if they would return in the morning and they say "No." Didn't try to call us or make it right. If they can't read a map they have no business working on chimneys!

The first time I scheduled an appointment in the Spring they didn't show up and didn't call. Then I scheduled an inspection and a diagnostic to find out why starting a fire was so difficult. They did the inspection and told me I needed a cleaning but they didn't do the diagnostic. I had to schedule the cleaning around hunting season. They did the cleaning and said there wasn't a problem. Our cleaning person went in to check after the cleaning and there was soot all around the fireplace. The grate was removed and put outside our condo to rust. The service person used our guest book to write us a note telling us we didn't need a grate. There was sooty fingerprints all over the guest book. When we arrived we found sooty fingerprints on the white refrigerator door handle. Why was the service person looking in our fridge? There were also sooty fingerprints by our laundry room light switch. Why was the service person looking in our laundry room? After all that and our wood burning stove is still very difficult to light.
There aren't many alternatives in Pagosa but I'd recommend trying to find one if you can.
