With both of us unhappy with our meals, it was the last visit to the Junction Restaurant.
I warned one of my fellow Texas travelers to steer clear of the Mexican food, but he ordered the enchiladas anyway on the same visit and was disappointed.
I will return eventually to try some other items.
The staff at Junction is friendly though, and service is decent when busy, and good when you visit during the off season or outside peak hours.
Food was decent, similar to a diner or cafe. The staff was exceptional, great service. Great portion size. We loved the souvenir shop as well, great prices.
Placed an order to go and it was ready in about 10 minutes. The bacon cheeseburger was good, but plain. The meat was generic, nothing to set it apart from anyone else. Same with the fries. The hostess that attended to me was very nice. Price was reasonable. The interior is decorated well and feels cozy. Ample parking out front. Great place for basic diner choices.
Haven't dined here in a while, but my first experiences were just average. After a few visits and bringing travel companions with me, we started seeking other places to eat in Pagosa Springs.
This visit we only camped in their parking lot. Have eaten there in the past and it always been good.
Food was really good and waitress was excellent! Sat outside on deck amongst stunning flower pots and gorgeous 60-degree Colorado weather. My motto, "always go where the locals go." Wolf Creek Gifts is very good too!
The last meal I ate at Junction was a chicken fried steak, which was decent but not amazing. I would classify the food as your standard diner food, much like I-Hop or Denny's. The chicken fried steak however tasted like it was fried in stale oil.
