We wanted a weekend get away where we would find a quiet refuge near Pagosa. Our kids were attending Sonlight camp and we combined this with dropping them at the camp. The cabin was really nice, comfortable and inviting. The decor is sophisticated yet rustic - a perfect compliment to the mountains outside. We will be back for sure.
The cabins are QUITE and make you feel as though you are 10 miles from anywhere with incredible sweeping views of the Continental Divide. The amazing thing is that these cabins are literally 2 minutes from downtown Pagosa Springs! You are that close to restaurants and activities! And when you are done you are moments from your tranquil oasis! We will DEFINITELY stay here again! On a side note – Renae and I are both photographers and I made a point of getting up at 3:00am to photograph the Milky Way. The stars and Milky Way are the most vivid and bright we have ever seen!
My wife Renae and I escaped the desert to attend a car show in Pagosa Springs (a GREAT car show, by the way!) and needed a place to stay. There is not enough room in this review to tell you how perfect our stay was! Angie greeted us upon our arrival and showed us our “Cabin”. We stayed in “The Peaks” and if you are thinking these are rustic old cabins, think again! These are finely crafted homes with every amenity you would ever need! The furnishings and décor are first rate and give that “Colorado” mountain feel that we were looking for. They have a washing machine and dryer, full size refrigerator, full size stove and oven and all of the necessary dinnerware and utensils needed (including wine glasses!) if you choose to stay secluded for a week and cook your own meals. The bed was super comfy and there is even a whirlpool tub to relax in at the end of the day!
The Gayharts have a spirit of excellence and work very hard to create a perfect place to getaway with all the comforts of home. They have managed to anticipate every need of their guests and we feel very grateful. We are enormously happy and content. We've stayed at 3 other cabins in Colorado and nothing compares to this place. It's heavenly.
On the blissful happiness scale, I am a 10! A resounding 10! We wanted quiet, it's exquisitely so. We wanted comfort and some luxury. Got it! To the max! The bed and the furniture are exceptionally comfy. We wanted clean. This place is ultra clean. And I mean immaculate! Every detail. Seriously. I LOVE it! We wanted beauty. The Hartland Ranch is breathtakingly beautiful.
As I said, I could go on and on about our stay but suffice it to say that Angie and Ken are the best hosts ever and The Cabins at Hartland Ranch are simply amazing. Don’t even hesitate – just book your stay right now!
